Tentsile Flite 2 Person Hammock Tent Review
Ben's bottom line

A 2-person tree tent that splits the difference between hammock and tent. Heavier than a hammock, comfier than the ground — perfect for couples who camp.

The Flite 2-person 3-season tree tent from Tentsile is a great alternative to traditional tent camping. By suspending your tent between trees, you allow for a much more comfortable sleep avoiding the hard and often uneven ground. With the Tentsile Flite all you need is three trees that are roughly 90°. No need to spend the time scouting out the perfect plot of land. In less than 10 min one person can be happily suspended above the rocks and brush, while leaving no trace behind when moving on to their next adventure. hanging a tentsile flite from 3 points The Tentsile Flite weighs 8.42lbs (3.82kg) and packs down into a 17.7” x 8.6” x 8.6” (45cm x 22cm x 22cm) roll top stuff sack. Included with the tent are three LONG 19ft (5m) polyester webbing straps which allow for lots of options when searching for suspension trees. The Flite can hold up to 485lbs (220kg) and utilizes a creative anti-roll in floor strap that divides the sleeping space in two. This keeps both campers comfortably on their own sides without the possibility of waking up smushed together in the middle of the tent. The tension system is based on three distinct types of anchors, including a quick release Windsor Knot, a stainless steel WebLock, and a heavy duty 1.2 ton rated ratchet. It is this unique series of tension tools that allow for a quick and easy setup, as well a sturdy and comfortable 43 sqft (4sqm) floor. tentsile camping hammock The included rainfly is a 70D polyurethane coated polyester rated at 5,000 HH and is a breeze to attach.  The two anodized aluminum poles suspend the attached “No See Um” bug netting and give you more than enough headroom at 2.7ft (0.82m). With two doors entry and exit are not a problem, even with two people. One of the other great benefits to a tree tent is the covered porch that your tent naturally creates! The Tentsile Flite gives a whopping 55 sqft (5sqm) of “patio” space underneath your tree tent, giving you a great way to cool off in the shade or get out of the rain. The Tentsile Flite is available for purchase through the Tentsile website for $399.00 USD, and while a little spendy, is well worth the money. The creativity behind this product is unrivaled, and the sheer enjoyment that you will get out of this product is a 10/10.
